    Yes, Jones Homes is licensed through the state of Florida. License #CBC1262969. We carry a $1,000,000 general liability insurance policy to protect you and your home.

  • Do I need a permit for a home renovation in Florida?

    Usually, yes. Additions and most major remodels require permits. One of the major advantages of hiring a licensed contractor is that we handle that entire process for you.

  • Will we need to purchase our own materials?

    This is optional; however, during the estimate process, we will assess the job and can purchase the appropriate amount of materials on your behalf. We also have access to bulk discounts.

  • Does Jones Homes guarantee materials & labor?

    Yes, absolutely. Every job done by Jones Homes includes a one-year warranty. Extended warranties on materials may be available according to the manufacturer.

  • What types of services do you offer?

  • What’s the difference between a handyman and a contractor?

    Yes! We will review the project and give a free estimate for the total cost of the job.

  • How long does a remodeling project take?

    Timelines vary based on the scope of work, but most projects range from several weeks to a few months.

  • Will I need to be home at the time of service?

    In short, no. Arrangements can be made for our entry. We treat your home as if it were our own; your property will be treated with the utmost care whether you are home or away.

  • Do you travel?

    Jones Homes is located in Umatilla, Florida we serve the Lake County area, including Eustis, Mount Dora, Sorrento, Tavares, and Leesburg.

  • What are our payment options?

    We accept cash, check and credit cards. Generally, a 50% retainer will be due upon booking and the full remaining balance is due at project completion. Depending on the scope of the project, payment plans may also be available.

    We take on a limited number of projects per year to ensure a high-quality experience and an efficient timeline. Our availability varies greatly throughout the year, please contact us for a free estimate.
