Here is a Mount Dora bathroom remodel we did right here in downtown. The client knew exactly what they wanted and we made it come to life!

Here’s a look at what we started with. The bathroom had reached the point where something had to be done and a “quick fix caulk job” wasn’t going to cut it this time.

Going into projects like this you never know what you are going to find when you open up the walls. To my surprise, there wasn’t damage anywhere. Its hard to tell in the picture but the shower floor is recessed below the bathroom floor. That ended up being another plus because we didn’t need a curb at the shower entrance, just walk right in.

We went with the bead board wainscot to go with the rustic feel of this Mount Dora bathroom remodel. The white subway tile and stained wood vanity all compliment each other really well. Thankfully I learned the white subway tile trick when we did our bathroom. You can only tell if they are next to each other but the subway tile from Floor and Decor makes the subway tile from Lowe’s look yellow! Not to mention they have far more options for tile, grout, and tile trim pieces like Schluter.

Then the center piece of the room! We got this vanity at RH (restoration hardware). I looked at what felt like “all over the world” for the vanity they wanted and this was the closest thing I could find! What a perfect fit for this Mount Dora bathroom remodel.

The way the bathroom was set up with the plumbing in the wall close to the entry door and vanity on the back wall, we had to put the entrance to the shower by the shower head and water controls. Knowing we were going to need a glass door and panel on the half wall, I knew who we were going to use. Dixie Shower Doors has been my choice for shower doors for years because I know I am getting a fair price and great customer service every time.

Overall we loved how this bathroom turned out and we couldn’t have had better home owners to have the chance to work with.
